About Us
Killarney is home to Peter and Iris Kienitz and their children Hannah and Daniel although the children spend much of their time in Boarding School. Daniel looks set to follow in his Fathers footsteps and has already shot Wathog Springbok and Baboons while Hanna prefers horse riding and has her own pony called Whiskey.
Born and bred in Germany, Peter is the son of a Forester and his family has worked in this industry for generations so hunting is as much a part of his life as Felix, his German short-haired Pointer and constant companion. Peter started his career in the German Firearms Industry and this background compliments his extensive experience and knowledge of hunting in this beautiful part of the world.
All hunting at Killarney is completed in the spirit of fair chase and Peter delights in taking guests to walk and stalk for their choice of trophies on foot over Killarneys varied landscape, and while hunting vehicles are available on site, these are purely for traversing the estate and not for shooting from.
Peter and Iris make quite a team and while Iris has her own business servicing the German Tourist Sector with her Travel Agency called Join Us, she provides support in the family home preparing country-style food and refreshment either in the house or out in the field.
In addition to trophy hunting, Peter and Iris also specialise in providing visitors with a more comprehensive insight into Namibia via camping safaris around the conservancy and beyond. Excursions into Damaraland, Kaokoland and beyond are possible with Peter even taking clients up into the Kaprivi, into Kavango and also down into the Namib Desert where non-hunting guests can really take in the natural beauty of this unspoiled region with the assistance of an experienced and reputable local guide.
In short, Peter and Iris have made Killarney a warm, welcoming home away from home where visitors can relax and enjoy a fabulous Namibian experience whether you be interested in hunting or just looking for a flavour of this fine, unspoiled Country
