Location and Environment
Killarney is located in the Etosha Conservancy and offers farm-based hunting and sight-seeing tours for those looking for a more personal and relaxed Namibian experience.
The farm itself is typical of those in the region and Killarney provides comfortable yet private guest facilities which is attached to but separated from the main family house.
Killarney itself is set in 7000 Ha of unfenced hunting paradise of which approx one third is typical Namibian thorn veldt with the remainder comprising of a more mountainous landscape over which one never gets tired of exploring. Apart from some stunning scenery, Killarney is also very well stocked with game species, all of which is indigenous to the area and free-roaming.
Taking of roaming, Killarney also benefits from good celular coverage for those who simply can't drag themselves away from their mobile ball and chain and internet access is also available although visitors are reminded that this is Africa and therefore broadband speeds should not be expected!
Iris also runs a Tourism Business from Killarney and while not a Professional Hunter is an experienced and competant huntress in her own right and as such is able to take non-hunting and curious wives out to experience the wonders of Etosha while their husband is busy hunting. This can include day trips to the World Famous Etosha National Park, game drives around the Killarney Estate or just giving you the space to enjoy the fabulous weather by the side of the pool - it is your holiday afterall and both Peter and Iris are on hand to make sure that yours is a visit filled with joy and fun.
